Patients asked not to attend A&E department during strike action

The strike is set to continue until Monday, with Gloucestershire patients advised not to visit the A&E department. The BMA argues that despite increasing resident doctor pay, it is still a fifth lower than it was in 2008. In Gloucesterian, it expects between 100 and 150 outpatient appointments and between 10 and 30 operations and procedures to be cancelled during the strike.
