Experts are warning that Iran's next move could be a major U.S. cyberattack. National Security and Cyber Security Expert Ricoh Danielson believes that as Iran's conventional military capabilities are weakened, it is likely they will use cyberattacks as their primary tool for retaliation against the U. So far, there have been no confirmed, large-scale cyberattacks directly tied to the current Iran conflict. Danielson suggests that Iranian-backed hackers typically target government agencies and critical infrastructure, including utilities, finance, and healthcare industries, to disrupt operations and create chaos. He also notes that despite a near-total internet blackout in Iran, their ability to partner with other nations to carry out such attacks remains unaffected. To protect yourself, prioritise multi-factor authentication and complex passwords for every account.
