Archive archaeologists in the Netherlands have discovered the skeleton of the legendary French Musketeer d'Artagnan, known as Charles de Batz de Castlemore, who was also a French military officer and spy, may have been buried under a centuries-old tile floor at a church. The discovery was made during repairs to Saints Peter and Paul Church, which has remained a mystery for over 350 years. The skeleton was discovered under the floor of the church, with fragments of a lead musket ball and a coin from 1660 found in the grave. Forensic anthropologists in Deventer will examine the skeleton for potential age and gender indications.
