Warren Buffett Creates A New Millionaire — And It Has Nothing To Do With Stocks - Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Common Stock (NYSE:BRK/A), Berkshire Hathaway Inc. New Common Stock (NYSE:BRK/B)

Warren Buffett, former CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, has created a contest for employees in the company's stock market, Berkshire Hathaways Inc. Common Stock (BRK/A), Berkshire Hathway Inc. New Common Stock and the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. The contest, which is open to over 395,000 employees across 60-plus subsidiaries, has been expanded to include a $1 million winner for the second consecutive year due to a rule change that led Buffett and the company to be more lenient about paying out prize money after there were no winners due to no winners. This year's winner was from the OxyChem subsidiary and got 31 of the first 32 games correct. Outside of the employee contest, an entry in the ESPN March Madness bracket challenge correctly predicted the first 43 games, marking the best starting streak for a verifiable bracket since the record-breaking 49 in 2019.
