OpenAI has released a 13-page document outlining a plan for how policy might adapt to massive economic disruption like AI. The proposals include steps to broaden AI's benefits, including creating a national wealth fund, shifting more of the tax burden onto capital instead of labor, and bolstering the social safety net. However, many of these ideas are not currently considered politically feasible. The proposal is seen as a policy response to AI like those of the Progressive Era and New Deal.
