Man Charged In Attempted Robbery Of Stamford Business, Police Say

Wesner Thelamour, a 40-year-old Bridgeport man, has been charged with criminal attempt at first-degree robbery and carrying a pistol without a permit in relation to an incident at Monjas Express in Stamford. The man was already in custody in Fairfield and was brought to Stamford on April 15. The two incidents occurred on March 2 and 3, respectively. Police identified the suspect as a masked person who entered the store and demanded money from an employee and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. Thelamoured was arrested on a warrant in Fairgate on March 25 and charged with first-dive robbery with a firearm and second-degree larceny.
