Despite the crowd of 25,125 wearing long-sleeve T-shirts under their uniform, Boyd remained unaffected. He struck out 10 and allowed only two hits (both to Angels shortstop Zach Neto) and two runs (one earned) in 5 innings. Boyd's performance helped the Cubs secure a 6-2 victory over the Angels in the final game of the three-game series. Boyd had previously only worn sleeves in his big-league career.
