Elizabeth line: Probe flags concern after train dragged passenger

The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) has warned that measures on the Elizabeth line were not effective, following a passenger being dragged 12m (3.3ft) along the platform at Ealing Broadway station in west London. The RAIB stated that the driver closed the doors while passengers were leaving and boarding the train, and the train's door system did not detect the passenger's hand. The new operator, GTS Rail Operations, has been urged to improve how the risks of trap and drag events are understood and controlled.
