Woman, 62, Who Disappeared While Hiking in National Park, Is Still Missing Weeks Later

Australian woman, Denise Ann Williams, went missing while on a hiking trip in Cape Breton Highlands National Park in Canada on April 28. She was last seen on April 15, indicating she was headed to Chéticamp, a coastal village in Nova Scotia. Her rental car was located at the Parks Canada Visitor Center near the Acadian trailhead. A search effort involving RCMP, Department of Natural Resources Air Services, RCMP Police Dog Services and multiple other agencies is ongoing. Police are urging anyone with information about Williams' disappearance to contact Inverness County District RCMP at 902-258-2213 or by submitting a secure web tip at www.esc.
