The World Championship Bar-B-Que Contest kicked off the rodeo with the Cotton Q Club, a party held at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This marks Cotton Holdings' fifth year as lead sponsor of the barbecue competition. The company's signature event featured a life-sized golden pony covered in white roses and crystal chandeliers. The exclusive Golden Pony was added for VIP guests with The Stirrup, a specialty martini bar in partnership with Sophie Cocktail & Terrace Bar. The event was also attended by Zinat Ahmed, who performed multiple costume changes throughout the event. The food and entertainment included performances from Gabby Barrett, Josh Turner, and Braxton Keith.
