The Marine Accident Investigation Board (MAIB) has concluded that a delay in medical treatment led to the death of a passenger named William Gilks. The report also questioned the captain's decision to cross the Bay of Biscay in very high waves. Over 100 people were injured when the ship was hit by force 11 winds and lost propulsion.
