An elevator from Jersey City to Hoboken has been taken out of service after two teens became trapped in one of the light rail elevators on the Hoboken/Jersey City border last month. The elevators are used by commuters to get to or from work and often run up and down the Palisade cliffs between Hoboken's Ninth Street Light Rail station and the Jersey City Heights neighborhood. The Jersey City Police Department removed the trapped teens from the elevator after one person refused medical attention and the second was evaluated by EMS.
