LOUMED Chestnut Street Project construction to begin March 30

The Louisville Medical and Education District (LOUED), which includes Jefferson Community and Technical College, University of Louisville, UofL Health and Norton Healthcare, is set to begin a new phase of the Chestnut Street Improvement Project. The project aims to foster economic and downtown development for the city and aims to create a more pedestrian-friendly corridor. While LOUED Commons began construction in May 2025, the project will begin in November 2025. The construction is supported by $6.
