Samsung is launching its Digital Home Key feature, which allows users to unlock their home with a tap of their phone or simply approaching their door without needing to pull out their door. The feature will be integrated into Samsung Wallet and is powered by the Aliro smart home standard, which uses near-field communication (NFC) for its tap-to-unlock technology and supports ultra-wideband (UWB) support. Alongside the launch, users can now add American Airlines boarding passes to their wallets. The new Digital Home Keys is being rolled out to Samsung smartphones in "scenes" this month and will be available in "significant regions" before April.
