The National Football League has awarded Super Bowl LXIII to Las Vegas for its 2029 championship game. The event is expected to generate an estimated $1 billion in economic impact for Southern Nevada. This time, Las Vegas will have more time to prepare for the event than the previous year due to New Orleans' proximity to Mardi Gras. Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority President and CEO Steve Hill praised the city's preparation for the Super Bowl. The 2024 Super Bowl drew 330,000 people to the city, accounting for around 10 percent of the total number of visitors that came for the whole month of February. The 9.5 percent increase in monthly visitors to Vegas over the previous years was the largest in all 2024. The NFL has now allowed gambling in its official betting partners, Caesars Entertainment Inc., DraftKings and FanDuel, to use official data on the game.
