Arizona girl missing since 1994 wasn't kidnapped and didn't want to be found, official says

Christina Marie Plante, now 44 and living under a different name, has told investigators that she wasn't abducted and ran away nearly 32 years ago. She told investigators she was helped to leave by family members. The case was resolved shortly after she was reported missing. Terry Hudgens, a former Gila County sheriff’s deputy who initially investigated Plante’�s disappearance, said they dropped their investigation after determining that Plante was safe and that the case was never officially closed. The sheriff's deputy who located Plante revealed that she had left voluntarily with help from family she had remained in touch.
