Triple Tony Award winner Evan McGill is behind the TV format, Broadway Bound: The Search For Broadway’s Next Star, which involves musical theater performers competing for a lead role in a full-produced musical. The format is set to initially be rolled out across the U.S., UK, Philippines and Korea. McGill is producing and producing the international format alongside Diamond Moving Pictures, the production and distribution business co-founded by Bill Diamond, Sheri Rosenberg Kelton, and Randy Mendelsohn. The winner of each potential version of the show will lead a musical in their home territory. Diamond Moving has been developing Broadway Bound with a coordinated territory licensing model and an integrated stage production framework.
