Iranian Intelligence Chief ‘Eliminated’ In Overnight Israeli Strike

The Israeli military has confirmed that Iranian intelligence chief, Esmaeil Khatib, was killed in a targeted overnight strike in Tehran. The death, which has not been confirmed by Iranian officials, follows the elimination of a senior Iranian official, Ali Larijani, a senior figure in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a close associate of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, stated that attacks on Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon would continue to escalate. The State Department offered a $10 million reward for information on Khatb.
