Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace has announced that 31-year-old Brandon Scerri has been convicted on all eight felony counts in a home-invasion burglary trial. The jury found him guilty of two felony counts of first-degree burglary, four counts of robbery, one felony count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and one count of third-degree possession of stolen property. The incident occurred in May 2024, when Scerrie entered a townhouse in Hastings-on-Hudson without permission and demanded cash and jewelry from the parents, who were asleep when he entered with their 7-month-old baby and tied them up with tape and electrical wires. The DA's office is seeking a stiff sentence for the case, stating they will be seeking a significant sentence.
