A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a triple shooting at the Taste of Miami Karnival event that left one person dead and two others injured. The shooting occurred near the main stage of the event in Miami's Little Haiti neighborhood. Police found a man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his chest, later identified as 23-year old Kitchner Cyrille, who later died at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. A second man was found near the center stage with multiple gunshot wounds and was hospitalized in critical condition. Surveillance footage shows Mezime allegedly participating in a fight before he shot at two people and fled on foot. He is facing multiple counts of second degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
