A new mural celebrating three Los Angeles Dodgers players, Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki, was unveiled in Torrance, California. The artist Robert Vargas spent eight to ten hours a day on scaffolding and hand-paint the mural freehand. The project was greenlit by Torrance mayor George Chen and aims to honor the city's Japanese American population. The mural also incorporates augmented reality technology to simulate the characters' movements. The unveiling was officially unveiled on March 24, two days before Opening Day at Dodger Stadium.
