Kansas City-based nonprofit launches girls’ soccer program in Honduras

Two women, Sierra and Julie, from Kansas City, have started a grassroots nonprofit, Academia de Futbolista, to create an equal playing field for girls in Roatan, Honduras. The goal is to help girls become more confident in their future and build on their existing strengths. The girls range from six to 13 years old and are seeking donations to buy some used equipment or equipment. The initiative aims to make girls' lives fun, provide them a safe space to play and develop life skills.
