The 2026 women's NCAA tournament has seen a significant shake-up in the rankings. No. 10 seed Virginia won over No. 2 seed Iowa in double overtime, marking the third time in four years that at least one No.2 seed failed to reach the regionals. Other lower-seeded teams also performed well, with No. 6 seed Notre Dame winning against No. 3 seed Ohio State and 5-seed Kentucky holding on at 4-seed West Virginia.
