Severe weather is expected to continue throughout the next few days, with potential outbreaks expected from the South and Plains to parts of the upper Midwest and Mississippi Valley. The threat of tornadoes, hail, and damaging winds is also expected. This comes after an EF4 tornado with winds of 170-175 mph destroyed buildings near Enid, Oklahoma, marking the first EF4 in Garfield County, Oklahoma since April 26, 1991. Supercell thunderstorms are expected to form in the Central and Southern Plains from Texas to Oklahoma, Kansas, western Missouri, western Arkansas, and possibly parts of Nebraska. The higher severe threat could spread to the Mississippi Valley and lower Ohio Valley on Monday. Additional rain is expected in much of the Midwest through Monday, potentially leading to isolated flash flooding and potentially locally flooding rain.
