The threat of severe weather continues to plague the Midwest, with over 51 million people potentially facing severe weather from Texas to Wisconsin. Parts of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin could see strong tornadoes, with a 220-mile-wide corridor of potential tornado activity extending from the Des Moines area to the Madison area. All of eastern Iowa is under a tornado watch until 8 p.m. Friday, and several counties in Wisconsin are also under tornado watches. The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning in Oklahoma until 9 p.am. Despite the storms, many states have seen temperatures reach the low 90s, but a projected cold front is expected to drop temperatures significantly once these storms pass.
