The proposal was announced amid national attention around NASA’s Artemis II flyby moon mission. Nye criticizes the previous attempt by the Trump administration to cut NASA's $24.4 billion budget by 18% was blocked by Congress, but this time the budget request is written lazier and more lazier. The Artemis II mission, which marked the furthest any space crew had traveled away from Earth, was followed by a 10-day mission around the moon.
