Jordan Gross has been appointed as the new offensive line coach for the Utah University of Utah by new head coach Morgan Scalley. Gross, who played offensive tackle at Utah from 2000-02 and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers, played an 11-season career with the Panthers and three Pro Bowl appearances. He retired after the 2013 season, retiring as a color analyst on the team's radio broadcast. Gross also served as head coach of his alma mater in Idaho in 2022, where he rebuilt the program with a 10-1 record and reaching the Idaho 4A state semifinals. Despite not having previously been a position coach at the college level, Gross has had discussions about joining other college staffs in the past.
