Newark man sentenced to over 150 years for sexual abuse of minors

An Essex County jury has sentenced 42-year-old Terrance Mells to 154 years in prison for the sexual assault of three minors. The abuse occurred between March 2015 and November 2023. Prosecutors claim that Mells threatened one victim after learning he was under investigation.
