Oklahoma lawmakers are pushing for mandatory safety requirements for youth camp safety following the tragic flooding tragedy in Kerr County, Texas last summer that killed over 100 people. The tragedy led to fear among students and parents who became hesitant to send their children off to camp due to fear. The legislation aims to allow camp directors to focus on safety so kids can focus on summer camp fun.
