The mayoral race in Kenner, Louisiana, turned into a tense debate as incumbent Michael Glaser and challengers Diane Schnell and Walt Bennetti faced off over key issues including immigration, garbage services, and the future of the city's Police Department. The debate also included questions about the future direction of the ESPLANADE MALL, which lost approximately $7 million when it was stopped. The candidates also raised concerns about the cost of trash collection in city services and whether the city should sell the property at a discount. The final decision on the mayoral election will be made on May 16th or 16th.
