Weymouth Sea Life, where the rescued turtle made national headlines after she was transported on a passenger flight to Southampton, is recovering well. She recently underwent a CT scan without the need for sedation and has gained over 700g, an increase of about 25% of her body weight, and responded well to antibiotics for a lung infection. The turtle had been swept away from her natural habitat and was suffering from cold stunning, a condition caused by prolonged exposure to cold water.
