CMPD: 1 hurt in University City shooting

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred around 8:30 p.m. on the 100 block of East McCullough Drive in University City, North Carolina. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of gunshot wounds, which are considered life-threatening. The department will release additional details as it continues its investigation.
