How Clavicular and his 'looksmaxxing' subculture are like toxic gays without the sex

The term "looksmaxxing" has been coined by 20-year-old streamer and influencer, Clavicular, who has over $100,000 in January alone from his 180,000 followers on streaming platform Kick. The subculture, which focuses on the obsessive pursuit of physical attractiveness, involves grooming, fitness, diet, and cosmetic procedures. A video by Judah Thee Glutelord, another prominent gay man, highlighted the similarities between the subculture and those of toxic muscle gay circuit party culture. The term is used by a group of chronically online young men to describe their obsession with physical attractiveness and their desire to attract women. Joel Blackstock, a clinical social worker and the Clinical Director of Taproot Therapy Collective, called “looksmxing” an “obsessive process of trying to maximize physical attractiveness.
