Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to further exacerbate the energy crisis and push towards renewed conflict. The country's Revolutionary Guard navy stated that it would continue to block transit through the strait as long as the U.S. continued to maintain its blockade of Iranian ports. This comes as a 10-day truce between Israel and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon appears to hold.
