Former Eagles president, Joe Banner, has defended the Giants' decision to not select Ohio State safety Caleb Downs in the 2026 NFL Draft, stating that the team's team-building philosophy aligns with that of Eagles head coach John Harbaugh. The Giants used the 10th overall pick to select Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa.
