2 men arrested after allegedly seeking sex with 15-year-old in Lowell sting

Marciel Neto and David Passacantilli, both from Reading, are accused of arranging to meet what they believed to be a 15-year-old for sex at a Lowell hotel. The multi-agency law enforcement sting led to their arrests, aimed at reducing the demand of child commercial sexual exploitation. The men were allegedly communicating with an undercover officer as part of the operation. Neto was charged with enticing a child under 16, paying for sexual conduct with a children under 18, and attempting to commit a felony crime, the crime identified as rape of a child. Both men have been released on their own recognizance and ordered to have no contact with minors.
