Bad weather and TSA agents calling out at other U.S. airports has resulted in flight delays and cancellations at Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport due to bad weather and agents not reporting for work at other airports. The airport has also reopened a food and necessities pantry to help unpaid federal workers who have not been receiving paychecks. The pantry is open from Monday through Friday from 4-4 p.m. and will remain operational until the partial government shutdown concludes. Despite other issues, operations continue to operate smoothly at the airport despite inclement weather and the war in the Mideast. The TSA staffing shortage began Feb. 14 when Senate Democrats sought policy changes in the operation of the U.N. Immigration and Customs Enforcement within the Department of Homeland Security.
