The San Francisco Padres have named right-hander Nick Pivetta as their Opening Day starter for the upcoming game against the Tigers. Pivetton was signed in 2025 to bolster their rotation and is expected to perform well in the upcoming seasons. Despite a minor bout of arm fatigue earlier in the spring, Piveatton returned to the field and is confident about winning the World Series.
