Air Canada is suspending service to New York's JFK International airport over the summer due to rising jet fuel costs. The airline plans to resume service from Toronto and Montreal starting June 1 and resume Oct. 25. The company will contact customers affected by the suspension and will offer alternative routes and flights. The average price for a gallon of jet fuel reached $4.32 on Thursday, up from $2.50 the day before the Iran conflict began. Fuel and labor costs are typically the largest annual expenses for airlines.
