The Australian National Health Service (SAVE) has announced plans to overhaul the country's sunscreen industry, focusing on improving the reliability and transparency of sun protection factor (SPF) testing and the quality and efficacy of certain ingredients and formulas. This comes after a recent product scandal led to a voluntary recall of several products claiming to have high SPF levels. The TGA has raised significant concerns about the SPF testing for several products shared the same base formula as those produced by the company.
