Two individuals have been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for the distribution of fentanyl, which led to the deaths of two people in Colorado Springs and Pueblo County. Thomas Galiano III and Hailee Anne Helton, 26, were sentenced separately after pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute a substance containing fentanyl. The Department of Justice stated that evidence connected Helton and Galiano to the sale of the drugs to the deceased and another incident occurred in October 2022 when an undercover officer engaged them in a drug deal. Both were arrested in January 2024 by Colorado Springs Police Department.
