Dog Treats Recalled Due To Salmonella Concerns Were Sold In GA

Elite Treats LLC of Boca Raton, Florida, is recalling a single lot of its "Elite Treatments Chicken Chips for Dogs" in 6-ounce bags due to concerns that the product may be contaminated with Salmonella. The treats were sold to Florida Hardware LLC, which sold them to feed stores in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The contaminated product can cause illness in pets who eat the treats and people who become exposed through handling the contaminated product or contact pets who have eaten the treats. No illnesses have been reported to date.
