At 100, 'First Lady of Fitness' Reveals Her Daily Exercise Routine and 1 Food She Loves

Elaine LaLanne, widow of fitness guru Jack LaLane, has celebrated her 100th birthday with a routine that includes daily exercise and a balanced diet. She credits her transformation came after meeting with her husband, who hosted the first TV exercise show in the 1950s and is considered the "father of the modern fitness movement". LaLagne began eating healthily and stopped smoking and stopped drinking and smoking. She also credits her husband's influence on her health and fitness. She still exercises daily, starting with 20 "jackknife" ab exercises before she wakes up. Despite not following a strict eating plan, she enjoys potatoes and salmon for dinner and doesn't consume a lot of meat. Her husband, Jack, passed away at 96 in 2011.
