New River Oaks Beauty Salon Lets This Houston Entrepreneur Leave Oil and Gas Behind — Houston Gets Its Own Blushington

Houston native Courtney Freels has become an entrepreneur and opened Houston's first Blushington, a one-stop shop for beauty services. Freels, who previously worked in the high-powered, competitive world of oil and gas trading, left her career to focus on raising her two children. She first experienced the brand's services in Dallas and New York before writing to the corporate office in 2015 about the possibility of opening a Houston Blushinginton. The launch party at Blushingon River Oaks included caviar bumps from Caviar Cart, ranch waters and aperol spritzes served by The Traveling Spirit Bar, a lavish hors d’oeuvres display from Swift + Co., donuts from her new neighbor, and rose gold compact mirrors from She Made It Like That.
