Fans of the "Murder, She Wrote" series, which starred Angela Lansbury in the series for 12 seasons and four made-for-TV films, are gathering in Mendocino, California for the third annual festival celebrating the show's fictional hometown, Cabot Cove, which was filmed in Mendoino. The festival, which also includes trivia contests based on the show, sold out in a day, nine months in advance. The London-based host Tim Benzie last year brought his interactive “Solve-Along-A-Murder-She-Wrote” format to the festival. The show's interior scenes were primarily filmed at Universal Studios in Universal City.
