James Lawhead, 64, has been arrested in Mohave County, Arizona, in connection with a 34-year-old kidnapping and murder investigation in Placer County. The suspect was identified as the suspect in the kidnapping and death of 35-year old Cindy Wanner, who disappeared from her Granite Bay home in 1991. The arrest came after a breakthrough in DNA testing. Lawhead had been living under a different name and was found in Arizona where he went by the name Vincent Reynolds. His sister, Terry Lawhead Steele, was also arrested in South Carolina on an unspecified charge and is being investigated for possible involvement in additional crimes.
