Police are expected to provide more details on an officer-involved shooting in downtown Las Vegas on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred at an apartment building in the 200 block of North 11th Street, near East Fremont Street and Maryland Parkway. The officer involved in the shooting, Daniel Abraham, has been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review. The suspect, George Barrios, was taken into custody following a lengthy standoff with police. Barriios is facing multiple charges including assault on a protected person with use of a deadly weapon, destroying the property of another, resisting a public officer with a firearm and possession of a gun by a prohibited person.
