The UCLA football team held their final spring practice at Spaulding Field before their Spring Game at the Rose Bowl. The team had a few players working off the side due to injury or illness. Offensively, Wayne Knight, Aidan Mizell, and Josh Phifer were all present. Defensive back LaRue Zamorano III also participated in a limited capacity. Meanwhile, Cal Poly transfer Ty Dieffenbach and redshirt freshman Madden Iamaleava are competing for the backup quarterback position. South Carolina transfer Brian Rowe Jr. has been standout among UCLA's wide receiver newcomers throughout spring practices. The defense is also well-coacheded, with safety Logan Hirou and linebacker Sammy Omosigho both having previous seasons.
