Chicago Heights woman overcomes health issues to earn nursing degree

Beatrice Agbayewa, a Chicago Heights resident, overcame health issues to earn a nursing degree in Romeville University in May, despite taking more than a year off from a nursing program at Rasmussen University to control her migraines and dealing with a thyroid problem. She will graduate with an associate’s degree in nursing from the Romeville university in May. She already has a bachelor of science degree in integrated health studies from the University of Illinois Chicago and a bachelor degree in integration health studies. Despite her health issues, she returned to school in September 2024, determined to succeed. Her dream job would be in labor and delivery, though she is also interested in cardiology.
