However, the systems still depend on humans for launch, guidance, and decision-making, and they're not fully autonomous. The Pentagon has also acquired the BumbleBee V2, a sister of the Ukrainian and U.S. defense technology company Perennial Autonomy, which produces both drones. Experts believe that the military will use these drones as a tool to improve outcomes in tough combat environments. The use of AI-powered drones is growing steadily, with many replicating military's existing targeting capabilities in a condensed and cheaper form. However there is a wide disparity in the capabilities of AI powered drones, with some claiming they are merely logic and learning trees rather than logic.
